Our spring 2024 season will start on Monday, May 6, 2024 at the Minto Barrhaven facility

It all starts with CanSkate!

Skating Programs

Rideau Skating Club offers a wide range of skating programs:

  • CanSkate (Skate Canada's flagship learn-to-skate program)
  • STARSkate (STAR 1 to Gold - Skate Canada's figure skating programs)
  • Competitive Figure Skating
  • Adult programs for beginners, figure skaters, and recreational skaters
  • Adult synchronized skating team - Capital Ice A3

Skate Canada trains and certifies coaches through the Coaching Association of Canada’s National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). All coaches must maintain the following requirements to be in good standing:

  • Skate Canada Coaching Membership
  • Skate Canada NCCP Status
  • Valid First Aid Certification
  • Background screening
  • Completion of Respect in Sport Training Activity Leader Training
  • Completion of the Skate Canada Code of Ethics
