This is a half-season (Fall 2019) Teen/Adult CanSkate Program (13 weeks)
CanSkate is Canada's flagship learn-to-skate program for beginners of any age that teaches fundamental movements and basic skills. Skaters are taught in a group lesson format by a NCCP certified professional coach. CanSkate is designed for future figure, hockey, ringette, speed or recreational skaters. Participants earn badges as skills are mastered.
Skaters will take part in a ten (10) minute off ice warm up (6:00-6:10 pm) and will then proceed to the ice for three (3) ten minute lessons (6:10-6:40 pm) with 3 different coaches. After the three lessons, the skaters will leave the ice (6:40 pm).
Skaters must be twelve (12) years of age by September 1, 2019.
Skaters in this program will skate once per week (40 minutes) for 13 weeks. The program starts on September 20, 2019 and ends on December 20, 2019.
CSA approved hockey helmets are mandatory for all CanSkaters.
