IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION

In an effort to increase registration convenience for parents/skaters and increase efficiencies for our organization, registration for the 2011-2012 Season will be conducted ONLINE ONLY this year.

Dear Parent / Skater

In an effort to offer parents/skaters a more convenient, efficient and cost-effective way of registering for the 2011-2012 skating season, the Rideau Skating Club has entered into an agreement with Quickenrollment Inc., to provide online registration to all its members.   Parents/Skaters will be able to register online from any Internet connection, whether it is at home, office, library or school.  Online registration will automate our entire registration process and will eliminate many of the tedious administrative tasks and stresses that come with our current way of conducting registration.  For instance, eliminating the need for in-person registration days or the need for you,

to make special arrangements with your personal and professional life in order to register.

All registrations will be carried out in this fashion.  It will be the responsibility of parents/skaters to find a computer with an Internet connection.

1.    To Register go online and type in: www.rideauskating.ca

2.    Click on the Register button on the RSC web site

3.    Follow the easy to use instructions.

4.    To register for more than one session: When you come to the page where you select payment there is a question at the top; Would you like to register another registrant? Select yes. This will take you back to family profile, where you select the skater again. There is some information that will come up again but many steps have to be repeated. Once you complete all your selections then select type of payment.

5.    Select registering with Skate Canada only once (if registering through Rideau) as you will be charged $31 each time selected.

6.    If you have a credit with the club: The registrar will adjust your payment once accepted & e-mail you the adjusted price.

What you will need:

 A computer with an internet connection (you may use the public library, schools, internet café, etc.)

 Returning members--- Child’s level of skating and Skate Canada Number (please contact your coach or RSC registrar for this information)

Registration Dates:   Aug 8, 2011 – March 31, 2012
